and the less profound...

Today I spent some of my graduation money that was designated by the givers as "fun money" and I bought a 26" Sanyo LCD TV. It was a great idea and is way to big for my dresser, but I'm pretty much in love.

Today, I also decorated my first cake...I have decided that this will be a fun hobby, I'm even considering taking a class about it. While the end result wasn't the master piece I was expecting, the cake is already gone. I guess presentation doesn't effect the taste.

The first of hopefully many responsible things

This weekend I did something that made me feel like an actual responsible adult...I made a payment on a student loan. I know many people view this as a painful process, but I enjoyed it. This means one step closer to my goal of getting most, if not all, of my loans paid off before the grace period of no interest is over. This may be a small step but I'll take it.

Now if I could just remember to write my tithing check before leaving for church on Sundays! ...and to finally mail out thank you cards from over a month ago.
